Republicans Didn't Count on Democrats asking for Separate Meeting with Netanyahu

JUST SAY'n: Hmmm...The Plot Thickens. The Republicans felt real comfy in their arrogant disrespect of President Obama by neglecting to inform him that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu would address both houses of Congress early next month. This is the Republican parties' latest pawn gambit to under mind and disrespect both the man and the office of the presidency.
Clearly this is the Republicans childish attempts to keep up with the President while saving face with their voter base by appealing to those susceptible to petty manipulation and "cooties" insults from a 12 year old. But there is something that digs a bit deeper here. How could the Speaker of the House be so arrogant in his attempts to under mind the President, that he would disregard the entire functions of the Executive Branch for which President Obama is the Commander and Chief. The Speaker's total disregard for the President also displayed a disdain for the law requiring that the Government of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA provides protection for Foreign Officials in the Office of Attorney Criminal Resource Manual 1615:

"Protection of Foreign Officials—Internationally Protected Persons and Official Guests—18 U.S.C. §§ 112, 878, 970, 1116, 1117 and 1201...As the conduct of international diplomacy became more complex, and the United States assumed international obligations to afford protection to foreign officials, diplomats and other foreign visitors, the statutes were enacted or amended in scope to effectuate such protection."

The Justice Department and Office of Attorneys have their role in providing protection for foreign Dignitaries. Surely the Speaker isn't suggesting that all matters of security be handled by Netanyahu's security detail?

And how about the President's schedule? Rather than have representatives from the two heads of state work out the best time for the visit, the Speaker of the House let a foreign leader dictate to him, the President and all of Congress when HE would come, and Netanyahu is on record of saying that he wants it to be before the next election in his country. That's right, the Speaker of the House is using Congress and government resources to get Netanyahu re-elected.

So it stands to reason that Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL) and Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) have requested that Netanyahu speak to a separate meeting of the Democratic caucus. That is the best way to avoid the impression of a unified effort to interfere in the politics of a foreign sovereign government. Surely, the Republicans wouldn't want to be party to that would they?.....JUST SAY'n!
